MoreUzbekistan's tourism potential showcased at Berlin International Tourism Fair
With the support of our country's embassy, the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee organized a national stand covering more than 150 square meters, dedicated to showcasing the tourism potential of our country.
Various tourism companies, including "Sitara International," "Orient Mice," "Megatour," "Assalamtour," "Orient Star," "Sezam Travel," "People Travel," "Central Asia," "Zomin Resort," "Anur Tour," "Dolores Travel," "Olympic Tour," "Asialuxe," "Rocket," "Antique Travel," "Zomin Direksiya," "Zehin," "Sustainability," and others, presented their tourism opportunities at the exhibition.
Visitors had the chance to watch video clips and view images highlighting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, along with experiencing its gastronomy and other tourism-related attractions. Notably, the cultural program presented by Uzbek artists left a lasting impression on the fair’s organizers and guests.
This prestigious international fair brought together 5,500 large companies and firms specializing in tourism, gastronomy, logistics, and tourism technologies from 170 countries, as well as international experts.
During the exhibition, Berlin residents, city visitors, and representatives of foreign tourism companies who visited the Uzbekistan national stand received detailed information about the country's tourism potential and the opportunities available for both local and international travelers and tourism companies.
As part of the event, a presentation of a guidebook dedicated to Uzbekistan, prepared by Bodo Tyons, editor of "Trescher Verlag" publishing house and author of numerous travel guides, was held.
Additionally, representatives of Uzbek tourism companies engaged in negotiations with foreign partners. To further expand international cooperation and boost tourist inflows, B2B meetings were organized.
As a result of discussions with foreign tour operators and travel agencies, new cooperation agreements were signed.
Victoria Nitzsche, Head of "Sicher Reisen Nitzsche GmbH" company:
"The Uzbekistan stand, set up on a large scale, showcased the country's tourism potential through various travel companies. Our company is based in the Bavarian federal region, and we have been cooperating with Uzbekistan for 30 years, organizing tourism and business trips. In recent years, not only travelers but also German companies interested in investing in Uzbekistan have been increasing.
Your country’s ancient cities, unique culture, and various tourism opportunities, including winter sports tourism, are becoming increasingly appealing to German tourists. I can confidently say that Uzbekistan has great potential and a promising future in the tourism sector."
Mirko Novak, Chairman of "LUNO" company:
"For the second year in a row, Uzbekistan has successfully participated in the Berlin International Tourism Fair. Last year, I visited Uzbekistan and was deeply impressed by the historical cities of Bukhara, Samarkand, and Khiva.
In 2004, we planned to hold a 'Samarkand Festival' in Hamburg, but due to some organizational reasons, it could not take place. However, we aim to hold this festival this year. We want to introduce not only the unique architecture of ancient cities but also the hospitality and traditions of the Uzbek people.
As an entrepreneur, I see Uzbekistan as a new market and a land of opportunities. Two weeks ago, we held an event dedicated to the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor, also known as the 'Middle Corridor,' where we provided extensive information about Uzbekistan.
The cooperation between Eurasia and Central Asia has great prospects, and we are working on it. The more we promote Uzbekistan in Germany, the more Germans will visit your country."
Daliya Altuntepe, Founder and Director of "Nüma" German Agency:
"The Berlin International Tourism Fair is hosting representatives from the global tourism industry, including professionals, travel companies, and tour operators. We are pleased that Uzbekistan is participating with its interesting stand.
In the past two to three years, the demand for tourism in Uzbekistan has increased significantly. To attract more tourists from Germany, we have implemented targeted projects in collaboration with the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee, which have yielded positive results.
German tourists enjoy traveling to Central Asia, especially to Uzbekistan, a country that remains largely undiscovered by mass tourism. This makes Uzbekistan an important travel destination."
